Tarah Gieger and Sarah Whitmore sign up with Steve Aldaco
Sarah and Tarah are the two most popular women riders competing in the Women’s Motocross Association (WMA), and often receive a lot of press not only from motocross industry magazines, but from mainstream media as well. In fact, MTV had their eye on the Sarah for a reality show.

They are currently on the same team, and will likely continue to be teammates for next year as well. Sarah is the veteran of the team, and has been riding since she was 3. Now 21, she has just obtained her Fourth Loretta Lynn’s Championship title. She currently sits in second place overall in the WMA series, only 13 points behind the leader. The final race is at Steel City Raceway in Delmont, PA on September 3, 2005.

Tarah is a relative newcomer to the pro ranks, but has hit the ground running and has already racked up an impressive resume, including: 2004 Loretta Lynn’s National Champion, 2004 WMA #2 overall, and 2005 Z1R WMA Cup Champion. She was tied for second with her teammate Sarah, going into the fourth round of the WMA series, held at Washugal, WA, but received an injury that will have her sidelined for a few months. Fortunately, Tarah is strong and will be back riding as soon as the doctors allow her to.

Currently, Sarah is preparing to shoot for the upcoming Nitro Circus 3, with Travis Pastrana. Both her and Tarah were in Nitro Circus 2 doing backflips into a foam pit. Tarah is in Puerto Rico, relaxing and recuperating.

“This year has been a lot of fun working with the Sarah and Tarah, and I am looking forward to continue working closely with them in the future,” said Steve Aldaco. He continued, “I believe the women’s motocross scene is beginning to blow up, and both of them are a huge part of that. They are both very easy to work with, as are their fathers. Stay tuned, as there is a lot occurring for next season and even in their off season.”

Both will be at the final round of the AMA Motocross Championship, held at Glen Helen Raceway on September 11, 2005. They will be in the pits at the Richardson’s RV rig, signing autographs and meeting sponsors and fans. Sarah will also take part in the 6th Annual Golf Benefit, held on Thursday, September 8, AND the 2nd Annual Motobowl, also held on Thursday, in the afternoon.
