Suzuki Support Rider Cole Seely to Race Factory
Suzuki RM-Z250 at Budds Creek Motocross
BREA, Calif., (August 19, 2009) – American Suzuki Motor Corp. (ASMC) announced today
that Suzuki support rider, Cole Seely, will race factory rider Nico Izzi’s Rockstar Makita Suzuki RM-Z250 in
the 250 class at round 10 of AMA Motocross at Budds Creek Motocross Park in Budds Creek, Maryland,
on Saturday, August 22, 2009.
“I’m really excited to get this opportunity to race with the factory Suzuki team,” said 19-year-old Seely,
who resides in Newbury Park, California. “The Rockstar Makita Suzuki RM-Z250 is an awesome bike and
I’m thrilled to get this once-in-a-lifetime chance to work with Roger DeCoster and the rest of the Rockstar
Makita Suzuki team.”
Seely and the Rockstar Makita Suzuki team came to an agreement that will allow Seely to operate out of
the factory truck with factory mechanic Lee McCollum’s support for the one race. So far this year, Seely
has raced three 250 class events, with his best finish being 18th place overall at Thunder Valley in
Lakewood, Colorado. Prior to the Motocross season, Seely qualified for four AMA Supercross Lites races,
with his best finish being 10th place at the San Diego, California, round.
“We’ve known Cole for several years,” said Rockstar Makita Suzuki Team Manager Roger DeCoster. “He is
a support rider for Fun Center Suzuki. With 250 class team rider Nico out for the remainder of the season
and his bike available, there was an opportunity for Cole to ride in his place at Budds Creek. This would
give our sponsors some additional attention and also allow an aspiring rider to have one day with a
factory team.”
Joining Seely as both a fan and spectator will be High School Musical star Corbin Bleu. Seely taught Bleu
to ride for his new movie, Freestyle, set to debut in October. The popular actor will be hanging out with
Seely and the Rockstar Makita Suzuki team for the day.

Rockstar Makita Suzuki Factory Racing will race next at Budds Creek Motocross Park in Budds Creek,
Maryland, on Saturday, August 22, 2009.
